As part of the activities to prepare for the opening of the Design and Technology in Wood Processing (DTD) study at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UNZE, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Fuad Had\u017eikaduni\u0107 and the Director of CIP UNZE Prof. Dr. Darko Petkovi\u0107 visited the LIND Wood Products Testing Laboratory in Zenica and TP Zenica . The hosts introduced the UNZE representatives to the scope of work in the laboratory, plans for the acquisition of new equipment, and a wider range of activities that are carried out in TP Zenica. LIND Laboratory (https:\/\/www.zeda.ba\/service\/lind\/<\/a>) was officially opened in November 2012, and during 2013 activities were carried out on the accreditation of the laboratory at the BATA Institute (Institute for Accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). Since October 2013, LIND has been an officially accredited laboratory.<\/h4>\n

The Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina allocated funds in the amount of EUR 499,998.00 for this project, and the co-financiers of the project were: Agency ZEDA, REZ Agency, Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of ZE-DO Canton. The representatives of UNZE presented the concept of the DTD study and the expected cooperation with the LIND laboratory as an important place for the future education of students in the fields that LIND deals with. In the conversation, the companies' responses to the questionnaires and surveys that are currently being conducted by the representatives of CIP UNZA and the ZDK Chamber of Commerce were elaborated, and the representatives of LIND offered their resources and cooperation with companies in BIH for further qualitative and quantitative assessment of the state of needs of the BH wood processing sector in order to of education at higher education institutions.<\/h4>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
