The UNESCO-AI Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) aims to strengthen STEM research, STEM education and international cooperation to address the global challenges addressed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n<p>The award recognizes the achievements of young people who contribute to socio-economic transformation and development at the global level, while at the same time increasing the interest of young people, especially girls and women, in science in order to promote gender equality, scientific literacy and the choice of scientific careers.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in 2022, the prize is awarded every two years to five laureates from UNESCO&#039;s five geographical regions (Africa, Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean).<\/p>\n<p>The award is given to candidates who have earned recognition for significant contributions:<br \/>\n\u2013 STEM Research including new technologies,<br \/>\n\u2013 STEM education, dissemination of research results, as well as creativity and innovation<br \/>\n\u2013 International or regional STEM cooperation<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must be under 40 years of age at the time of the application deadline.
