Today, a session of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica was held at which Prof. Dr. Enis Omerovi\u0107, a prominent legal expert with extensive academic and research experience at the domestic and international levels, was elected as Dean.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Enis Omerovi\u0107 graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo in 2005. He completed his master's degree in international law at the University of Glasgow in 2006, and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Law, University of Zenica in 2017, with a focus on public international law.<\/p>\n
He began his academic career as an assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Tuzla, after which he served as a senior associate at the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, University of Sarajevo. Since 2012, he has been employed at the Faculty of Law, University of Zenica, where he served as a senior assistant, assistant professor, associate professor and vice-dean for scientific research in the period from 2018 to 2021.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Omerovi\u0107 is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers in the field of public international law, international criminal law and human rights. His research focuses particularly on the study of the crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity, with special reference to the period of aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.<\/p>\n
In addition to his academic engagement, Prof. Dr. Omerovi\u0107 is actively involved in international legal organizations and projects. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the course \u201cCrime Prevention through Criminal Law and Security Studies\u201d at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, and a member of the editorial board of the journal \u201cAnnals of the Faculty of Law, University of Zenica\u201d.<\/p>\n
