On July 17, 2025, the Municipal Court in Zenica issued a decision adopting the proposal of the University of Zenica for determining a security measure, and ordering the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Ministry of Finance to immediately execute all payment orders signed by the Rector of the University or a person authorized by him.<\/p>\n
With this decision, the Court confirmed that the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Durakovi\u0107, is the sole authorized representative of the University, as registered in the court register, and that there is no reason to refuse to implement the order by the legal representative of this institution. At the same time, the Court determined that the continuation of the blockade would constitute an unlawful obstruction of the University's financial operations and cause serious damage to employees, students and partners.<\/p>\n
The solution is clear: the ZDC Government has no right to act selectively towards the University, nor to challenge the legality of the authorized rector's signature. This decision puts an end to all attempts at political pressure and institutional obstruction.<\/p>\n
The University of Zenica welcomes this court decision, which represents a victory for legality, academic autonomy, and the right to work. We thank all employees for the patience and dignity they have shown during this challenging period.<\/p>\n
