On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica, a ceremonial academy and conference were organized under the title "Current Issues in Legal Theory and Practice: Legal and Political Consequences of the Dayton Peace Agreement \u2013 30 Years Later"<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last night, in the presence of a large number of guests, representatives of political, public and social life, as well as members of the academic community, a Ceremonial Academy was held at the Zenica Hotel, marking two decades of work, development and contributions to the academic community of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica. It was an opportunity for the Faculty of Law to express its gratitude to all those who, with their engagement, support and trust, contributed to the success of this faculty.<\/p>\n

At the Ceremonial Academy, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Sc. Enis Omerovi\u0107, addressed those present. In his speech, he reflected on the very beginnings of the Faculty's work, mentioned previous deans and teachers, highlighted the successes of students in global, international and domestic competitions, and thanked everyone who had contributed to the development of the Faculty of Law over the past twenty years.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica is today recognized as a reputable and respectable academic institution, which proudly emphasizes that its teachers and graduates are holders of the highest positions in the executive and legislative branches, performers of responsible judicial duties, and prominent lawyers, notaries and jurists who, with their knowledge, professionalism and integrity, make a strong contribution to strengthening the rule of law.<\/p>\n

Rector of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. sc. On that occasion, Jusuf Durakovi\u0107 pointed out that "the academic community must not be silent in the face of social problems, and this Faculty has shown that it has the strength, knowledge and responsibility to speak out when it is necessary. Today, when we are faced with the departure of young people, the role of the University and the Faculty becomes even more important. Young people will not stay only because of emotion or patriotism - they stay where they have quality education, perspective, legal security and the feeling that knowledge is valued." The Rector also expressed his belief that the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica will remain a place of excellence, free thought and responsible action in the service of society in the future, sending congratulations on the occasion of the jubilee and gratitude for the contribution to young people and Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, letters of appreciation and recognition from the Faculty of Law were presented to all those who have made significant contributions to its work and development over the past two decades.<\/p>\n

A conference is being held today in the building of the Faculty of Law, University of Zenica "<\/strong>Current issues in legal theory and practice: legal and political consequences of the Dayton Peace Agreement \u2013 30 years later"<\/strong>,<\/strong> which was opened by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sc. Jusuf Durakovi\u0107, with an introductory speech, after which the Dean of the Faculty of Law also addressed the attendees.<\/p>\n

The conference is attended by eminent experts who spoke in the introductory part of the program: Okyanus Ak\u0131n, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Larisa Veli\u0107, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Academician Mirko Pejanovi\u0107, Member of ANUBiH and the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Academician Ejup Gani\u0107, Member of ANUBiH and the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Miro Lazovi\u0107, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n

The conference is divided into two sessions and will last until the late afternoon.<\/p>\n
