Students of the third and fourth year of the department: Metallurgy, Materials and Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology visited the production facilities of the Central Bosnian Canton on May 24, 2018. The students' full-day working visit included tours of the Turbe-Pobjeda Te\u0161anj plant in Turbet, the Komar plaster factory in Donji Vakuf and the Alloy Wheels foundry in Jajce.<\/p>\n

During the visit to the foundry in Turbet, the students had the opportunity to learn about the individual stages of the technological process of gray cast iron castings, and in a conversation with the employees, they were informed about the foundry's current production program, i.e. future development plans. During the visit to the foundry, the students were hosted by Emir Ja\u0161arevi\u0107, B.Sc. Eng. metallurgy.<\/p>\n

As part of the tour of the gypsum production plant "Komar" in Donji Vakuf, the students visited the production plants for the production of gypsum and got acquainted with individual stages in the production process. The host for the students was Armin Robovi\u0107, B.Sc. Eng. chemistry.<\/p>\n

At the end of the working day, the students also visited the facilities of the "Alloy Wheels" Foundry in Jajce. During the visit to the foundry, the students had the opportunity to see the organization system and the production process of one of the most successful companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which markets its products on the auto industry market all over the world. The students were introduced to the complete technological process of manufacturing aluminum rims from conceptual design to the final product. The hosts for the students were Mr. Josip Kalini\u0107 and Mr. Hamza Lup\u010devi\u0107, B.Sc. Eng. metallurgy.<\/p>\n

In addition to visiting the mentioned plants and learning about the production processes, the students had the opportunity to talk with their fellow engineers who studied at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology and now manage the production processes in the mentioned companies.<\/p>\n
