As part of the COBETS project, led by the UNZE Faculty of Economics, which aims to form a cluster of wood processing companies in Central Bosnia and Business Academy as a service of this body, Prof. Dr. Darko Petkovi\u0107, director of CIP and head of the team for the establishment of a new study department "Design and technologies in wood processing - DTD " held the presentation of the new department for representatives of 10 companies participating in the COBETS program and EF UNZE management. Prof. Petkovi\u0107 presented the study as a multidisciplinary approach to the education of young people with the aim of acquiring about 50% technical-technological competencies (design, technology, etc.), about 30% economic-social-legal and about 20% general academic ones (foreign languages, mathematics, informatics, etc. .). This multidisciplinary approach is the result of looking at the real needs for knowledge and competences that the economy needs and where the first place is the student and what he will do and what he needs to learn through his studies, and only in second place is the professor and what he wants to teach. It was emphasized that the future study program at UNZE is based on the long-standing tradition of this study in Switzerland and Germany, that is, at the universities of Rosenheim and Bern.
