CIP UNZE: WORKING MEETING WITH GIZ REPRESENTATIVES IN SARAJEVO"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  text-justify\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Director of CIP UNZE Prof. Dr. Darko Petkovi\u0107 had a working meeting in Sarajevo with representatives of GIZ BIH Mr. Karl Heinz Jacho and Krunoslav Ra\u0161i\u0107 on the topic of comprehensive activities that UNZE is doing as part of projects with GIZ, as well as the general model of implementing the Triple Helix model at UNZE. Prof. Petkovi\u0107 introduced the representatives to the place and role of the CIP at UNZE and presented a number of activities that have the character of the Triple Helix work model. Prof. Petkovi\u0107 divided those activities into those that have the character of a project approach (e.g. ongoing projects that the MoF and EF have with GIZ) to a process approach (e.g. the area of environmental monitoring for the needs of ZDK that is carried out by the MoF and the Kemal Kapetanovi\u0107 Institute) which are regulated by protocols and contracts that UNZE has with line ministries and companies from ZDK and beyond. Prof. Petkovi\u0107 emphasized that the tradition of the triple-helix model has been present at UNZE for a long time and that it is not the result of any &quot;fashionable trends in education and scientific-research work&quot;. Namely, the very establishment of the first technical faculties and institutes in Zenica in the early 60s of the last century was a clear indication of the interest of the economic sector and the then authorities. Such an approach has been present for 18 years in the work at UNZE with clearly stated problems of changing the ownership structure of business systems in BIH. However, such a concept was not abandoned by UNZE and represents one of the strategic visions of development and work of UNZE. GIZ representatives pointed out that based on the wide cooperation they have with the academic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they can confirm with certainty the importance and role of UNZE in the triple-helix model. This is also confirmed by the fact that ZDK is the most economically active canton in the FBIH, and some cities and municipalities of this region are regional leaders in the economic sense. It was agreed that at the beginning of September 2018, a meeting will be organized with the deans of the MF and EF UNZE in Zenica in order to define further activities according to the triple-helix model.
