At the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition, which is being held in Vienna this year, 378 teams of law schools from all over the world participated.
\nThe goal of this competition is to encourage the study of international commercial law and arbitration for the resolution of international disputes through its application to a specific problem.<\/p>\n
The team of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica consists of Amina Hasanovi\u0107, Ajna Mahmi\u0107, Emir \u017div\u010di\u0107 and Ibrahim Palalija and trainers Prof. dr. Zlatan Me\u0161ki\u0107e, Assoc. Ph.D. Ivana Grube\u0161i\u0107 and M.Sc. Arnela Magli\u0107.<\/p>\n
Our team has been preparing hard for the past months, both at pre-moot competitions and independently working all day and on weekends, and the result is the historic ranking of a university from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Law Faculty team ultimately took third place together with Lomonosov Moscow University. In the semi-finals, they competed with the University of Ottawa, which this time, according to the referee, was better.<\/p>\n
The University of Zenica team beat the University of Helsinki, the University of Mainz, the University of Hong Kong and the University of New South Wales on their way to the semi-finals.<\/p>\n
At this prestigious world competition, Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by the University of Zenica, the University of Sarajevo, the University of Mostar and the University of Tuzla.<\/p>\n
