The University of Zenica and the Center for Gender Equality are celebrating the global campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" again this year. This is a distinctive annual campaign that begins on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25 and runs until December 10, when Human Rights Day is celebrated.<\/p>\n
In the campaign for the year 2023, special focus is placed on femicide, i.e. gender-based murders of women, bearing in mind the large number of femicides that occurred this year in BiH and the region, and the need to approach this problem in a comprehensive and systematic way. With a series of activities, the University of Zenica makes a concrete contribution to global efforts to prevent and combat all forms of gender-based violence.<\/p>\n
This year, the campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" of the University of Zenica, in cooperation with the TPO Foundation and with the support of the Embassy of Great Britain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, includes the following activities:<\/p>\n
\u2013 05.12.2023. Workshop "Everything you shouldn't have asked about reproductive health", (assistant educator Aj\u0161a Lukovi\u0107, assistant at the Faculty of Law<\/p>\n
\u2013 06.12.2023. - Performance "Let's stop femicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina", performed by students of the Faculty of Philosophy,<\/p>\n
\u2013 07.12.2023. - Organization of the public opening of the Office for Counseling in the field of gender equality, which is located in the building of the Rector's Office of the University of Zenica, the promotion and guide for the office, then the Gender Equality Policy, and the ceremonial signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the Zenica Center for Women's Rights.<\/p>\n
- Lecture on the composition of Nermin \u0160ehovi\u0107, for the teaching and administrative-technical staff of the University of Zenica,<\/p>\n
- Lecture by Mr. Nermin \u0160ehovi\u0107, for students of the University of Zenica.<\/p>\n
