{"id":33330,"date":"2024-08-22T09:21:46","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T09:21:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unze.ba\/?post_type=unigem&#038;p=33330"},"modified":"2024-08-22T09:21:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-22T09:21:46","slug":"program-trodnevne-ljetne-skole-rod-pravo-i-pravda","status":"publish","type":"unigem","link":"https:\/\/unze.ba\/en\/unigem\/program-of-the-three-day-summer-school-gender-law-and-justice\/","title":{"rendered":"Three-day summer school program: GENDER, LAW AND JUSTICE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Organizers: <\/strong>Faculty of Law, University of Zenica and TPO Foundation, Sarajevo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target group<\/strong> Summer schools are students of law faculties from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, who come from the universities where the UNIGEM project is implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The summer school &quot;Gender, law and justice&quot; is a three-day educational program intended for male and female students of law faculties in which the complex intersections of gender, law and justice and their impact on legal systems and society as a whole will be explored. This topic is of critical importance to law students, as it provides a comprehensive understanding of law that encompasses various social dimensions, including gender. The intersection of gender, law and justice explores how gender roles and identities influence legal norms, processes and institutions. Understanding these mutual influences helps students recognize and address gender inequalities within the legal system and advocate for a more equitable and inclusive legal framework.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer school theme<\/strong> is directly linked to Goal 16 of the Seventeen Global Goals for Sustainable Development (<em>Sustainable Development Goals<\/em>, SDGs), also known as Global Goals, which represent universal goals and indicators that members of the United Nations use in creating their programs and policies. Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions, emphasizes the importance of promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, enabling access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. Understanding and applying the principles of gender justice is key to achieving this goal, as it encourages the creation of a legal framework that supports equality and prevents discrimination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The goal of the Summer School<\/strong> is to educate and sensitize male and female students of law faculties to recognize and analyze gender aspects in the legal context, and to understand how justice can be shaped through the prism of gender in relation to legal regulations, public policies and practice. This task will enable the practical application of theoretical knowledge about gender equality in the context of law. They will work on defining the principles of the law, key terms and areas of application.
