Enroled students shall be issued a matriculation book (index) by which they prove their status. A Student Record Office keeps the register of the enroled students containing  relevant programme-related data. Pursuant to the records from the previous subsection, a Student Records Office issues to students  certifaces for enrolement, passed examinations and other student-related issues. Students are entitled to and responsible for taking an active part in the educational system, artistic and research works in cooperation with the professors and associates in accordance with the faculty curricula. Students’ entitlements and responsibilities are: to be introduced to the rights, obligations and duties at the beginning of the academic year; classes to be organized according to the curriculum, classes schedule and examination schedule; to fullfil the duties set forth in the Regulations, curriculum and classes and examination schedule; to attend regularly the classes, seminars and other kinds of classroom activities; to complete the studies within the set period of time; to enjoy other entitlements set forth by the Law and Regulations. . A student is entitled to begin and complete the studies according to the curriculum that was effective at the time of his enrolement within an academic year upon completion of the set course of studies. The student who does not complete his studies within the deadline of an academic year shall complete the studies according to the altered curriculum. The student who has fullfilled all the obligations planned in the curriculum is entitled, upon verifying  the last term, to complete his studies according to the curriculum effective at the moment of his enrolment in the last year of the programme. The students’ results achieved in classes, artistic and research works make the basis for effectuating the special entitlements. Full-time students who have reached the average grade not lower than 8 (eight) during the previous years of studies and who have got the grade not lower than 9 (nine) in a particular subject, may be selected as student associates (undergraduate assistant) for that particular subject. A student associate (undergra-duate assistant) shall be selected by  Faculty Teaching Staff at the proposal of the specialized professor. Students are introduced to their entitlements and obligations through: releasing class schedules at the beginning of a term on faculty information boards or on the University web site; releasing the informaton on examination dates at the beginning of an academic year, which shall contain the exact date, time and place where an exam is going to be held; exam results should be released within 48 (forty eight) hrs after taking a written, i.e. a practical part of an examination, but not later than three days prior to the oral examination; publishing the information in the Bulletin, publications, and the University web site. It is the interest of the University to promote the student mobility within the University. Conditions for a transfer from one programme to another within the University in each particular case shall be determined by  relevant Faculty Teaching Staff that holds the studies which a student gets transferred to on the basis of a student’s application. If a student transfers from some other University, he/she shall be eligible to enrol in the relevant year of the studies if he/she has met all the requirements for enrolement in that particular year of studies as set forth in the provisions of the Statute of the university which a student transfers from and in the provisions of the University Regulations. The integral examinations a student passed shall be recognized if the curricula, i.e. their contents and scope are identical. Should there be any differences in the curricula of the passed subjects, the respective difference between the subjects or parts of the subject, which the student is obliged to take, shall be specified. Upon completion of the recognition procedure of the passed subjects, the student who gets transferred shall be awarded the status of a student at the University. According to the ECTS score system the transfer of  students from other universities is limited to the universities which have signed the agreement with the University of Zenica. Students who have achieved outstanding results in mastering their obligations specified in the curricula shall be involved in research and artistic works.   Outstanding results imply that a student has scored in all the passed subjects from the previous year of the course the lowest average grade 8.5 (eight and a half) and 9 (nine) at the technical and science faculties and humanities respectively. The University students are involved in the reasearch works through various forms of: developing and publishing technical and scientific papers; participation in developing scientific-research projects and other kinds of scientific-research activities; participation in some international programmes and projects; cooperation with other institutions; independent development of the inventive forms of research work; developing spin-off and spin-out forms through a scientific-technological park (STP) and • other activities. . For their work and contributions towards winning recognition of the University students may be awarded the following prizes: the rector’s award, the dean’s award, the awards from the University fund like scholarships and other awards . Student status shall be ceased: once the student has completed the first-degree or second-degree course of studies; by withdrawal from the University; if the student has not signed up for the senior of the same year of the studies; by a decision on the disciplinary measure of expulsion; if the student has not completed the studies with the deadline defined by the University Regulations; after losing two years of the studies at the most or otherwise as specified in the University general enactments .
