10.03.2020. CIP AND MF UNZE: PROMOTION OF THE DUALSCI PROJECT IN THE ZDK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

In the continuation of introducing key stakeholders at the regional level about the structural project DUALSCI - Strengthening capacities for implementation of dual education in BH higher education - Strengthening capacities for implementation of dual education in the sector of higher education in BH, the head of the UNZE project team visited the Chamber of Commerce of Zenica- Doboj canton (PK ZDK – www.pkzedo.ba ) and spoke with the president of the Chamber, MSc. Dianom Babić, B.Ecc. As in ZEDA, the Dualsci project was presented, after which Babić, MD, spoke about the current moment of the ZDK economy, the problems that are already felt when it comes to doing business with foreign countries and related to Covid.19, the importance of better cooperation between the academic community in BiH and the business sector, especially MSP. The interlocutors agreed on potential pilot studies that would be initiated by UNZE in the dual model, and Ms. Babić pointed out that PK ZDK will help this cooperation in every respect. She emphasized that ZDK represents the most important economic and business resource of FBIH in the domains of metal processing, mining, energy, mechanical engineering, wood processing and furniture industry, textile industry, and the service sector is also important, so UNZE students will have the best opportunities to work and study in a dual model. . Mr. Babić pointed out that PK ZDK has been actively working on the project of introducing a dual model in secondary schools for several years and that in this domain of cooperation with business entities they already have an enviable experience that will be useful to the academic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the development of a similar study model. Mr. Babić particularly pointed out that PK ZDK was the bearer of the activity on the drafting of the Rulebook on teaching outside secondary schools as an important document in the implementation of practical teaching in secondary schools. Prof. Petković emphasized that the FBIH Chamber of Commerce is a participant in the DUALSCI project and that due to the large consortium, the three cantonal chambers of commerce could not be included.
