The sub-organizational units in the OJ Institute "Kemal Kapetanović" of the University of Zenica are:

1. The Center for Metal Materials and Technologies, which includes a Chemical Laboratory, a Mechanical Testing Laboratory, a Mechanical Calibration Laboratory, a Metallographic Laboratory and a Metal Processing Laboratory,
2. The Center for Non-Metallic Materials and Technologies, which includes the Mineralogy Laboratory, the Laboratory for Ceramic and Refractory Materials, the Laboratory for Construction Materials,
3. The Center for the Environment, which includes the Laboratory for Measuring Environmental Pollution, the Laboratory for Environmental Management and the Laboratory for Energy Efficiency,
4. Polytechnic Center which includes Technical Measurements Laboratory, Non-Destructive Testing Laboratory, Welding Laboratory and Machining Laboratory,
5. inspection body,
6. Certification body.
