25.09.2019. MF AND CIP UNZE: STUDY VISIT TO HYUNDAI MOTOR EUROPE TECHNICAL CENTER (HMETC)
On the third day of the study visit to Germany, the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Fuad Hadžikadunić, and the director of CIP UNZE, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, full professor of the Ministry of Finance of UNZE, visited the Hyundai Research and Development Center in Russelsheim (HMETC). After the welcoming address of the director of HMETC, Mr. Lee was followed by a detailed presentation of the Hyundai corporation, which has grown from a small company to a global giant with more than 250,000 employees, who today represent the 35th largest global corporation and the fifth in the automotive industry sector with an annual production of almost 7.5 million cars at several locations in Europe, America and Asia. After this part, the guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina had the opportunity to see a number of laboratories where engine tests, braking systems, sound analysis, combustion quality tests, and the development of new vehicle parts or individual systems are performed. The host of this part of the visit, researcher-manager Franjo Akmadža, presented in detail all the important elements from the business philosophy of the Hyundai group and invited the guests from BH engineering faculties to cooperate in all domains of interest to this global corporation. The reception and tour of the Hyundai Center laboratory was also attended by the Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Frankfurt, Mr. Luciano Kaluza.
