27.06.2016. CIP UNZE: START OF TRAINING FOR IDEA-LAB MEMBERS

For members of iDEAlab teams, i.e. for teachers/collaborators from iDEAlabs, who are located at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Health and the Student Center, as well as for several graduate students, it is planned to hold training in the field of the basics of computer drawing and application on 3D printers for the duration of 30- and hours (Course: SolidWorks Essentials and 3D Printing). The training started on Monday, June 27, 2016, and will be held in room 4104 (Computer Center at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). It is planned to take place at an intensive pace according to the following training plan:

1. SolidWorks basics and user interface
2. Sketching
3. The basics Part Modeling-a
4. Patterning(Working with repeated patterns)
5. Design Tables and Equations
6. Generating and working with drawings
7. Bottom-upassembly modeling
8. Model visualization - rendering
9. Preparing the model for 3D printing
10. FDM technology for making 3D models
