Lecturer from Odisee Hogeschool at the Faculty of Health, University of Zenica

In the period of 08-13.05.2016. The Faculty of Health of the University of Zenica hosted a lecturer from Odisee Hogeschool from Belgium, Tim Torsy, who is involved in the education of clinical skills in nursing as a lecturer and manager of the Skills Laboratory. During his stay, lecturer Tim Torsy worked with first-year students of the Faculty of Health in the newly equipped facilities of the training center of the Faculty of Health, University of Zenica. This visit is the result of cooperation between the University of Zenica and Odisea Hogeschool, and its members (faculty of health studies), which was developed as part of Erasmus+ activity 1. It is extremely important to note that during this activity, the Faculty of Health of the University of Zenica hosted for the first time female students from this institution who will spend 12 weeks at the Health Faculty of the University of Zenica.

Given that the date 12.05. marks the International Day of Nursing, the above-mentioned lecturer, in cooperation with the International Cooperation Office of UNZE and the Office for ECT(A)S UNZE, gave a presentation to the students of ZF UNZE about the organization of nursing and the education of nurses in Belgium, as well as the possibilities of studying nursing at Odyssey Hogeschool. This project is extremely important for the internationalization of nursing education and its improvement at UNZE. Lecturer Tim Torsy pointed out that during his stay he was delighted with the hospitality at UNZE, as well as the professionalism of the teaching staff at ZF UNZE with whom he worked, as well as the knowledge and commitment of ZF UNZE students.
