The second business-educational day for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Polytechnic in the implementation of the teaching process in the academic year 2019/20. year, within the Department of Industrial Engineering and CIM Systems, the Department of Design and Technologies in Wood Processing and the Department of Maintenance, was held on 12.11.2019. in the Central Bosnian Canton (SBK). The first planned business system to visit was ECOS where the students saw the production process of wire jacketed pipes and their final assembly to installation, as well as the assembly and testing of faucets to installation. The host was Mr. Mladen Pranjković, head of this plant. The second in the series was the KRISTAL business system, where basic information about the work was obtained in the sales and exhibition hall, after which the students in three groups with representatives of the company's management visited the old part of the factory and the new production facilities on 11,000 m2. They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves in detail with the modern way of planning production, advanced systems of storage and retrieval of materials for the start of production, work on CNC machines, thermal treatment of glass and the department for artistic glass processing. This was an excellent opportunity for students to get acquainted with technologies that are not everyday and common in our factories, and to see on the spot that KRISTAL is growing into a regional leader in this technology that has available all flat glass processing technologies (cutting, drilling, milling, grinding, heat treatment, graphic design on glass, etc.), processing by pressing, casting, etc. The owner and director of the factory Mr. In a pleasant conversation with the students after the visit, Nikola Franjić invited them to do their internship in this factory and to come forward with business ideas that are the best ticket to getting a job. Students were informed about raw material procurement systems for the production process, the importance of design and CNC technologies in the realization of the production process, to the presentation of various solutions for combinations of materials such as metal-wood-sponge-canvas in the creation of the finished product. At the end of the working day, there was a visit to the CARLATO company, which has several different production lines: one that is very unique and where the wooden elements for latoflex bearings are produced, to the line for the metal program (laser cutting and welding and other machining) where the constructions are made bearings, parts of the truck program, equipment for agricultural machines, etc. The visiting host was the owner Mr. Dragan Gazibarić, who had a long conversation with the students, answering numerous questions. During the entire visit, the students were accompanied by the Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Darko Petković and Mr. Emir Đulić and Almir Akvić.
