11-14.05.2016. QA OFFICE: CONTINUATION OF THE TEMPUS PROJECT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The University of Banja Luka hosted a seminar on the Tempus project for the development of the national qualifications framework ("Bosnia and Herzegovina Qualifications Framework for Higher Education - BHQFHE"). The main content of the seminar was the presentation of the results of the application of the NQF in the development of new study programs at UNZE (examples: Implementation of the NPP innovation program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Philosophy, Development of doctoral studies at technical faculties, New concept of health studies in accordance with European directives, etc.) which were presented by public universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, there was talk about the next activities on the implementation of the project and the need to create joint documentation for BH higher education organizations. In front of UNBL, the project participants were greeted by the vice-rector, Prof. Dr. Valerija Šaula. In the coming months, all faculties at UNZE will receive a generous donation of books for their libraries. The bearer of this important project is the University of Paderborn, Germany. The project involves 6 public universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNZE, UNMO, SVEMO, UIS, UNTZ and UNBI), EU project partners (universities from Northampton - UK, Limerick - Ireland, Llied - Spain, Paderborn - Germany, Split - Croatia) and governmental and non-governmental agencies from Germany, Croatia and BiH (SUS BiH, HEA BiH, HEA RS, etc.). Representatives from Croatia and Spain presented their solutions in creating the NQF in Croatia and Spain. Representatives of UNZE, Assoc. Dr. Vasić Nebojša, head of the scientific field of humanities, and Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, head of the UNZE team, took an active part in the work of the seminar.
