04.10.2016. CCNURCA TEMPUS PROJECT: PILOT ACCREDITATION OF THE HEALTHCARE STUDY PROGRAM OF THE MEDICAL FACULTY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA

On 04.10.2016. In 2008, the Health Care study program of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica passed the process of pilot accreditation of the study program as part of the CCNURCA Tempus project. The preparation process for this activity lasted several months, and the activity itself was finalized with the visit of an expert committee from the field of Health care and the quality assurance system process in higher education, composed of: Prof. Andre Govaert (Leuven, Belgium), Belinda Drieghe (Odisee, St Niklaas, Belgium), Prof. Dr. sc Lubicy Rybarova (Prešov, Slovakia) and Willem Vandenberg (Odisee Brussel, Belgium). In the preparatory process, the committee analyzed the self-evaluation report of the study program along with the analysis of accompanying documentation, and analyzed the teaching process, quality assurance system, mobility, etc., in accordance with EHAE standards and criteria. During its visit, the Expert Commission held a series of meetings and discussions with the management (of the university, faculty and study program), representatives of the administration, students and teaching staff. After a detailed analysis, the expert committee presented an oral report on what was seen and shown and rated the Health Care study program of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica as very satisfactory according to all criteria. This result certainly came as a result of the past work of the management of the University of Zenica, the management of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica and the staff involved in the CCNURCA Tempus project. The CCNURCA Tempus project aims to strengthen the structure of higher education of nurses/technicians and harmonize this process with EU directives on regulated professions.
