27.05.2021. CIP UNZE: VISIT TO LUARASI UNIVERSITY OF TIRANA
As part of the project How regional University Cooperation can improve business cooperation – ideas, challenges and expectations within the framework of the WBF-West Balkan Foundation program, the team of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Zenica visited the partner university LUARASI in Tirana (https://luarasi-univ .edu.al/). The CIP UNZE delegation included Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, Associate Dr. Džafer Dautbegović and Dr. Emir Đulić. The hosts of the CIP UNZE delegation were the Rector of Luarasi University Prof. Dr. Ethem Reka, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Anni Dassho, Prof. Dr. Indrit Baholli, Dean of the Faculty of ICT, M.Sc. Kino Buxelli, general manager of the university, and Prof. Dr. Mateo Spaho, dean of the Faculty of Economics. After the welcoming addresses and the presentation of the two universities, they discussed the implementation of the project approved at the beginning of 2020 "Strengthening Regional Academic and Research Exchange - SRARE" (line 1 - strengthening RDI). The rector of Luarasi University, Prof. Reka, emphasized the priorities of the development of the university founded in 2003, and particularly emphasized the importance of regional cooperation between the countries of the Western Balkans (WBC). He proposed the signing of the MoU between the two universities in the next few months. Prof. Petković presented the activities and realization of CIP UNZA in the previous ten years as well as the most important projects of the faculty of the University of Zenica. Special emphasis was given to the project DUALSCI – Capacity building for the implementation of dual education in the higher education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Erasmus+ program) because the field of dual education is also very interesting for Albania. In that sector, Prof. Petković spoke about cooperation with the University of Durrës and outlined his desire to expand this cooperation to Luarasi University as well. He agreed to exchange project data and propose potential projects and areas of cooperation in the next month.
