Redžib Direković became the first doctor of medicine at the University of Zenica

The Faculty of Medicine in Zenica is one of the youngest higher education institutions of the University of Zenica and therefore an institution facing special challenges and processes of improvement and organization of the teaching process. As a specific higher education organization that educates future medical personnel, the Faculty of Medicine has already achieved enviable results, as evidenced by about 700 graduate students in the Department of Health Care and about 60 master's degrees, many of whom have already found work in numerous health institutions.

This year, Zenica and Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive the first medical doctors who received their education at the University of Zenica.

After six years of study, which is how long the integrated study of General Medicine lasts, on Friday, July 9, 2022, Redžib Direković defended his graduation thesis on the topic "Implication of the tilt of the cerebellum on the volume of the posterior cranial fossa" under the mentorship of Prof. Dr.Sc. Zdenka Krivokuća and obtained the title of Doctor of Medicine.
