ON THE OCCASION OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY IN ZENICA, THE DAY OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY MANIFESTATION CEREMONY OPENED

On the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy, the Days of the Faculty of Philosophy event was officially opened today on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment and operation of the Faculty of Philosophy. The ceremony was opened by the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, prof. Ph.D. Alica Arnaut, who pointed out that "the Faculty of Philosophy today especially cherishes the principles of multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity. Our academic commitment is to work with and for the community. Our mission is to be present, visible and accessible to everyone, to be recognized by quality, style, achievements, and determination. Our goal is to remain a strong and respectable institution, which establishes new standards and principles in accordance with the times we live in."

The Prime Minister of Zenica - Doboj Canton, Prof. Ph.D. Nezir Pivić, as well as Mr. Mirza Mušija, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica - Doboj Canton. The opening was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, representatives of the media, male and female students, as well as the staff of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica.

The days of the Faculty of Philosophy were officially opened with the exhibition "Documents from the archives, memories are alive", authored by Mirza Džananović and Alice Arnaut. During the event, the anthem of the Faculty of Philosophy "Ode to Knowledge" by Ikbal Smajlović was premiered. The students of the partner Elementary Music School in Zenica also took part in the program, who delighted the audience with their performances.

The rich program of the Days of the Faculty of Philosophy event aims to promote science and the profession in the public through a series of activities - from exhibitions, through language courses, mathematical days and evenings, promotion of publications, thematic gatherings with primary and secondary school students, sports competitions, and all the way to conferences and round tables. The program will be closed at the end of May with the jubilee 10th international scientific and professional conference Science and Modernity.

THREE DECADES OF EXISTENCE, ACTION AND SUCCESSFUL WORK

That war, in 1994, when everything around us was marked by suffering and destruction, in Zenica - the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to the vision, knowledge and enthusiasm of individuals whom we remember with respect today, but also to their strong will and desire to resist evil and aggression, a bold decision was made to establish an independent and autonomous higher education institution in the field of social sciences and humanities in Zenica, for the first time in its history. Today, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica celebrates 30 years of work and existence. On this occasion, a number of different programs and activities will be held as part of the Day of the Faculty of Philosophy in the period from the beginning of March to the end of May.
