VISIT OF THE PRO-RECTOR FOR NIR UNIVERSITY IN ZENICA TO THE ASSOCIATION 3D GROUP - CLUSTER 3D TECHNOLOGY

On December 9, 2024, Prof. Dr. Fuad Hadžikadunić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at the University of Zenica, paid a working visit to the association 3D GROUP – 3D TECHNOLOGY CLUSTER (Sveta Nedelja, Croatia), which consists of the companies TOPOMATIKA doo, TEHNOPROGRES doo and IZIT doo

The association represents a reference center for 3D technologies, the application of which aims to enhance the innovation and competitiveness of regional industry and other activities related to development and production. Areas of expertise include: measurement and analysis of dimensions and shapes, measurement and analysis of deformations, analysis and processing of results, reverse engineering (RE); generative design/topological optimization, optimization of production processes, additive manufacturing (3D printing) of polymers and metals.

The total capacities of the 3D GROUP were presented by Mr. Amir Šećerkadić, B.Sc. Eng., President of the Association and Director, Dr. Nenad Drvar, Head of the Deformation Department, with his colleagues from several departments. The significant range of areas of activity, available modern technologies and possibilities of modern equipment used in scientific and professional research, for services to business entities, education, project implementation were highlighted, and several examples of projects for which the aforementioned methodologies and equipment were applied, etc. were presented.

As the strategy of the University of Zenica in the field of engineering is focused, among other things, on the transfer and adoption of modern technologies, the procurement of equipment and cooperation with institutions that have modern equipment, and participation in European projects, the possibilities of joint cooperation in the areas of equipment procurement and use of services, the possibilities of joint research in areas of interest, the preparation of European projects, presentations to the industrial sector and students, participation in conferences and journals, etc. were discussed. Potential directions of future joint activities and cooperation were identified, and certain future steps have already been determined.
