Visit to the company Topomatika doo (Zagreb, Croatia) and the Technical University of Leoben (Austria)

In the period from 01.09.2025. to 05.09.2025. professors of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, University of Zenica paid an official visit to the company Topomatika doo and the Technical University of Leoben (Montanuniversität). The company Topomatika doo, among other things, deals with 3D optical measurement and in its program offers three-dimensional optical measuring devices manufactured by Carl Zeiss GOM Metrology, measuring and inspection microscopes manufactured by Vision Engineering, as well as equipment for measuring the mechanical properties of materials and components by Hegewald&Peschke.

The visit to the Technical University of Leoben was carried out within the framework of the bilateral project “Designing Circular Metallic Materials for Sustainable Development”. The Technical University of Leoben is a public university founded in 1840 and is one of the members of TU Austria (an association of three Austrian universities of technology: the Technical University of Vienna, the Graz University of Technology and the Technical University of Leoben). Teaching and research at this university are in the fields of mining, metallurgy and materials science.

During their stay, our professors visited:

• Department of Ferrous Metallurgy,
• Corrosion Laboratory, Department of General and Analytical Chemistry,
• MFL Liezen (Steel Foundry),
• Austrian Foundry Institute i
• Center for Methane Pyrolysis and Hydrogen Reduction.
