25.10.2017. CIP UNZE: CONVERSATIONS IN THE EMBASSY OF SWITZERLAND

As part of the effort to get the support of international programs and ensure a stronger internationalization of studies, representatives of CIP UNZA Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, Director and Mr. Lamija Subasic, secretary, had a meeting at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the meeting, in front of the Embassy, the director for cooperation, Mr. Barbara Datwyler Scheuer and Mersiha Alijagić, program coordinator. Prof. Petković presented the concept of developing a new study, Design and Technology in Wood Processing, which would be based on a dual study model as an important innovation in the academic space in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of bringing the acquired knowledge as close as possible to the real needs of companies and not academic theory. A pilot project of the implementation of the project at UNZE was proposed through cooperation with the Universities of Bern and Rosenheim and the ZDK Government and the relevant ministry that supports the creation of UNZE in order to achieve the desired transformation of study programs. Embassy representatives expressed great interest in this project and possible cooperation programs in the field of dual education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, considering that the Swiss government supported a similar program in the HEI in Serbia with several million Euros.
