28.06.2018. MF UNZE: NEW DEPARTMENT OF STUDIES APPROVED AT THE ASSEMBLY OF ZDK

The last and most important step in the approval of the new study department was the 60th session of the ZDK Assembly held on June 28, 2018. on which the items on the agenda were item 6: proposal of the Decision on the justification of launching the study program Design and Technologies in Woodworking - DTD, the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica, and item 7: proposal of the Decision on the launch of the study program Design and Technologies in Woodworking - DTD, the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica. After the introductory remarks of the Chairman of the ZDK Assembly Mr. Jasmin Duvnjak The report was briefly presented by the head of the MF UNZE team, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, which was followed by a discussion by members of the ZDK Assembly. Along with the presentation of the Elaborate in the briefest terms, Prof. Petković particularly emphasized the accompanying activities of this idea, which has matured for years at the MF: Development of the LIND laboratory for testing wood products in TP Zenica, equipping the MF UNZE, development of personnel resources for a new study, potential construction of BIESSE training center in Zenica and international projects that were developed in support of this important economic sector for Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the very meaningful discussions of the representatives of the ZDK Assembly, great support was given to this study and great expectations from it were expressed. In the vote that followed, the deputies unanimously supported the new study program. In statements to the media, the dean of the Ministry of Education, Prof. Dr. Fuad Hadžikadunić, who has been working persistently for years on the development of this study program, emphasized the importance of it for the Ministry of Education and the UNZE and pointed out that the Ministry of Education and Culture of UNZE is the leader in the HEI sector at UNZE in monitoring and meeting the needs of the BiH economy for by training adequate personnel and performing NIR.
