29.06.2018. CIP/MF UNZE: PRESENTATION OF THE DTD STUDY PROGRAM IN COMPANIES

The day after the ZDK Assembly adopted the Elaborate on the justification of the formation of the study program Design and Technologies in Woodworking (DTD), Prof. Petković presented this program in two important production systems located in Sarajevo Canton. First, he was a guest of the company XYLON – Elite Wooden Floors, which makes luxury wooden floors in a variety of design and material options (www.xyloncorp.com ) where the CoE host Enil Gondžić, MSc, presented the entire production process and invited students and teachers of MF UNZA to visit the company or do their internship in this eminent company. This visit was followed by a visit to the STANDARD company in Ilijaš, where Prof. Petković was hosted by lead designer Ena Begičević. Passing through the plants of this eminent company showed all the strength of today's wood processing in BiH, which strives from once very simple products to modern design solutions and products with high added value. In both factories, Prof. Petković presented the DTD study program and expressed his interest in cooperation, presented the potential concept of dual education and the close cooperation that MF UNZE is building with the business sector, unlike many who mostly stick to theory only. The hosts were also presented with the GIZ-RIPEUD project - Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia.
