14.08.2018. CIP UNZE: VISIT AND CONVERSATION IN MS WOOD FOJNICA

The head of the project team on the GIZ RIPUED project, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, visited on August 14. the MS WOOD company in Fojnica and with the head of quality control, Eng. talked with Fikret Šabić about the new DTD study department at the MF UNZE, which should start the academic year 2018/19. years. Prof. Petković presented the study program, subjects and potential teaching staff, equipment available at UNZE, and emphasized the multidisciplinary approach in the development of knowledge, skills and competences, which was insisted upon in the preparation of the NPP. In particular, there was talk about the need to raise the importance of the design knowledge and understanding of engineers who, together with product designers who are mostly educated at art academies, could through joint work come up with optimal construction solutions that will have the best ratio of production costs and sales price. The need to learn a group of economic subjects and subjects specific to this type of production (control and product safety, finishing, painting, assembly, etc.), the importance of general knowledge (foreign languages and IT technologies) and the development of entrepreneurial culture among students was emphasized again. There was also talk about the possibilities of educating potential students who are already working through the form of lifelong learning (part-time studies), special trainings and trainings that MS WOOD is interested in and which it conducts a lot in its internal organization. Posters were placed on the bulletin boards in the factory's facilities, giving basic information about the start of DTD studies at MF UNZE.
