ADMISSION FOR STUDENTS WHO ACHIEVED EXCELLENT RESULTS IN COMPETITIONS

On May 27, 2019. in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Zenica, a reception was held for students who achieved excellent results in competitions

Students, team members, coaches and deans were hosted today by Prof. Ph.D. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, also presented certificates of appreciation for the achieved results. On this occasion, the Rector congratulated the students, coaches and deans on their outstanding achievements, and wished them a bright and successful future and expressed the hope that they will continue to achieve excellent results.

Namely, the months of April and May were marked by the successes of the students of the University of Zenica at international competitions, both in knowledge and in sports competitions.

The first and hitherto unachieved success in the history of our University was achieved by the students of the Faculty of Law at the Vis moot competition in commercial arbitration in Vienna (26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot), where they won 3rd place together with Lomonosov University from Moscow and competition from 378 universities from all over the world.

After that, the students of the Polytechnic Faculty won the 1st place overall in the knowledge competition and the 3rd place overall in the sports competition in the competition of 26 construction faculties from the Balkans at the Civil Engineering Festival, which took place in Budva at the beginning of May. Students returned from Budva with cups and medals for winning 1st place in Concrete structures, 2nd place in Organization and construction technology, 3rd place in Metal structures.

At the same time, the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Bečići participated in the Machinijada. In knowledge competitions, students participated in the subjects Resistance of materials, Mechanical elements and Mechanics. The 8th place was won in the Resistance of Materials and Mechanical Elements, while the 4th place was won in the Mechanics subject, with a difference of a couple of points to the 3rd place.

Finally, at the beginning of May, the students of the Faculty of Law participated in a regional competition in a simulated trial (moot court) in international private family law, called "EUChild simulated trial in international private family law", which was held at the Faculty of Law in Osijek. After the preliminary hearings, the team of the Faculty of Law successfully made it to the final hearing, and in the end won second place in the aforementioned competition.
