Signed Agreement on the realization of academic rights and obligations of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy within the University of Zenica
Today, in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Zenica, the signing of the Agreement on the realization of academic rights and obligations of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy within the University of Zenica took place. The agreement was signed by Prof. Ph.D. Damir Kukić, Rector of the University of Zenica and Prof. Ph.D. Halil Mehtić, dean of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in the presence of Ph.D. Mevludin Dizdarevic, Mufti of Zenica, Prof. Ph.D. Enes Hašić, vice-rector for teaching and student affairs at the University of Zenica, as well as a representative of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy.
With this Agreement, within the framework of academic principles and within the existing formal-legal framework, it is possible for the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy to continue its activities on the principles of equality with other members of the University of Zenica. What is very important is that the Faculty will retain its special status in the sense that the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the founder of the Faculty, said Prof. Ph.D. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica.
The signing of this Agreement is only one additional part of the Agreement on the position and operation of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy within the University of Zenica, which was signed last year by the Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mr. Miralem Galijašević, and the reisul-ulema Dr. Husein ef. Kavazovic. The Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy has played an active role since the founding of the University of Zenica, and based on the years of establishment, we are the third member of the University, right after the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, said Prof. Dr.Sc. Halil Mehtić, dean of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy. Also, the Dean pointed out that the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy has five study programs, over 600 students, three doctoral studies and four master's studies, and on this occasion he thanked the Rector and the University of Zenica for their cooperation so far.
