A press conference was held on the occasion of 47 years of work and existence of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

The present representatives of the media were addressed by the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr.Sc. Ibrahim Plančić, who, through the prism of creation, work and achieved results, emphasized the most important areas that brand and distinguish the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica compared to other similar higher education institutions, namely: tradition and rich experience in the education of mechanical engineers, personnel and infrastructure resources of the Faculty and modern study programs, and good cooperation with the environment, as well as general benefits of studying.
Rector of the University of Zenica, Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković said that this is an opportunity to somehow present the results of previous work and research, and to indicate future steps in the development of this faculty. "We can freely say that today there is no development of industry without graduates in mechanical engineering. The development strategy of the Zenica-Doboj canton clearly indicates that it is committed to metal processing, and accordingly all engineers who graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are key to the development of many companies both in the Zenica-Doboj and Central Bosnia cantons," said Prof. Dr.Sc. Jusuf Durakovic. The Rector also announced the development of the main project for the building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Polytechnic, which should be built on the Campus of the University of Zenica.
On this occasion, the rector, Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković announced the holding of the Round Table entitled: "Challenges and perspectives of higher education in the Zenica-Doboj Canton through the prism of the development of the University of Zenica." The round table will be held at the Zenica hotel on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, starting at 11 a.m.
Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Fuad Hadžikadunić, vice-rector for scientific research at the University of Zenica and president of the Organizing Committee of the international scientific professional conference "Odžinjanje ̈" spoke about the organization and holding of this year's conference, which will be held in November with the participation of a large number of authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, in cooperation with numerous domestic and foreign sponsors.
