A solemn ceremony was held on the occasion of the closing of the project "Strengthening the judicial system through practical training of law students/interns in BiH"
On Friday, July 12, 2024, in the premises of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica, a solemn ceremony was held on the occasion of the closing of the project "Strengthening the judicial system through practical training of law students/interns in BiH", which our faculty is implementing in cooperation with the National Center for State Courts - Office in BiH, judicial institutions in Zenica and law offices.
The ceremony was opened and moderated by the project coordinator in front of the Faculty of Law, senior assistant Lejla Zilić-Čurić. Iin front of the host of the ceremony, the dean of the Faculty of Law, prof. Ph.D. Larisa Velić, and in front of the project partner, the deputy director of NCSC, Lejla Hasanović, addressed the audience. Given that the professional practice of realized from the subject of Criminal Procedural Law and Civil Procedural Law, the subject teacher of the course Civil Procedural Law, Assoc. Ph.D. Dženana Radončić emphasizing the importance of professional practice in the legal education system.
As part of the ceremony, mentors - judges of the Municipal and Cantonal Court in Zenica, expert associates in the ZDK Prosecutor's Office and lawyer Harun Loz addressed the attendees.Fr and shared their experiences and observations while mentoring students. The students also shared their experiences from the internship, and thanked the mentors for their time and the very useful skills they acquired during the internship.
Practical training of students multifolds the mission of legal education, therefore we are extremely glad that so far over 50 students of the Faculty of Law have completed professional practice from Criminal Procedural Law and Civil Procedural Law in judicial institutions and law offices.
We sincerely thank the mentors for their time and enthusiasm to participate with us in the education of future lawyers.
