Application for scholarships for summer German language courses in Bavaria for 2025.

The Free State of Bavaria offers scholarships to all interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in German language summer courses for 2025.

Application criteria

Interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina must meet the following application requirements:

• To possess the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
• They are enrolled as students or employed at a higher education institution at the time of applying for this scholarship program,
• Interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina must submit grades from at least two semesters at the higher education institution they attend,
• Interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina must prove knowledge of the German language at least at the B1 level,
• They must be of legal age at the time of submitting an application for this scholarship program.

Note: Candidates who have already received funding under this scholarship program cannot participate in the new scholarship cycle.

Required documents

The documents that need to be attached for this scholarship program are:

• Motivation letter for participation in a German language course in Bavaria (one to two pages in German or English),
• CV in tabular form (in German or English),
• Evidence of all passed exams with associated grades (e.g. review or transcript of grades including a brief explanation of the grading method),
• Interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina must submit proof that they are currently enrolled at one of the higher education institutions or that they are employed at the higher education institution (e.g. a copy of the current transcript or student card for candidates enrolled at a higher education institution or a copy of the employment contract for candidates who are employed),
• Copy of passport or identity card,
• Interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina must provide proof of German language proficiency of at least B1level (Certificate/letter proving knowledge of the German language at B1level),
• Optional: Proof of internship, additional qualifications and/or volunteer experience.

Expenses covered by this scholarship program

This scholarship program covers the following expenses:

• Tuition,
• Accommodation and
• Food.
