Awarding of certificates to training participants within the implementation of the project "Digital transformation of SMEs in the processing industry ZDK

On June 27, 2024, the University of Zenica, within the framework of the implementation of the project "Digital transformation of SMEs in the processing industry ZDK", organized the ceremony of awarding certificates to participants of 7 specialized training programs that were organized and implemented in the period from April 18, 2024. until 30.05.2024. in which employees of 7 pilot companies, students and teachers of secondary schools in Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as unemployed persons from the Employment Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton participated.

The training programs were as follows:

• Training for Industry 4.0 Controllers;
• Training in the field of digital economy and crisis management - management in times of crisis - from procurement to after-sales services, financing, communication;
• Training for CNC operators and CAD/CAM programmers;
• Training for virtual technologies in a modern approach to construction and production technologies
• Training on the importance of using RES and PV (Photovoltaic) systems for the economy, production and ecology;
• Operator training for sales and digital marketing managers; and
• Training in the field of occupational safety, safety and health of workers.

The mentioned project lasts 10 months, and its total value is EUR 138,584.00, of which EUR 97,584.00 is financed by the European Union within the framework of EU4DigitalSME. The bearer of the project activities is the University of Zenica in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Kragujevac, and 7 pilot companies: STEEL Company doo Jelah-Tešanj; Kopić Pro Fab-KPF doo Tešanj; SSAM PLAST doo Jelah-Tešanj; Metal Land doo Doboj South; Prima Commerce doo Zenica; KPM – BH Metal and Plastics Processing Center doo Tešanj and Kalim Profil Ltd. Tesanj.

The project "Innovations and digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which includes the EU4DigitalSME project, aims to create a favorable environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to successfully implement digitalization and innovation transformations. "EU4DigitalSME" has a value of 6.1 million euros, and it is jointly financed by the European Union (5 million euros) and the Federal Republic of Germany (1.1 million euros). EU4DigitalSME together with the project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development entitled "Go Digital in Bosnia and Herzegovina" is part of the EU4SMEs program for the digital transformation of SMEs.
