Today, the University of Zenica held a formal Doctor of Science Promotion where four doctors of legal sciences were promoted. Also, the awarding of the Rector's Award for students with the best achieved success was held.

In honor of the Doctor of Science, the following were promoted: Ms. Lejla Hadžimahmutović, Mr. Denis Lauc, Mr. Tomislav Novačić and Ms. Matea Čizmić.

"Dear PhD students, you completed your education in the third cycle of studies at the University of Zenica. I hope that you have acquired the necessary competences and that you will continue new research endeavors and produce personnel for the needs of society. It is our obligation to continue helping you achieve those goals.

I want to tell you to continue doing science and to continue research in your scientific fields, because the diplomas you receive today are binding on you. Don't let getting your PhD put you to sleep and stop doing research. These diplomas are proof that you are qualified for independent work, which in the modern world implies the ability to participate in team research. I invite you to continue to work hard, research and publish the results of your research, thereby making your contribution to the scientific fields in which you are recognized in society," said Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković, Rector of the University of Zenica in his address.

On behalf of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, congratulations to the doctors of science and awarded students were sent by Prof. Ph.D. Spahija Kozlić, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

Mrs. Lejla Hadžimahmutović addressed the audience on behalf of the Doctor of Science and in her speech she pointed out: "I want to thank the leadership of the University of Zenica and the Faculty of Law for the exceptional organization of the studies." Thank you for allowing us to learn from the most eminent professors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and to discuss many legal topics with them. Formal education teaches us to reflect and develop critical thinking and to look for answers to important questions not in social networks but in science and scientific research. I want to tell the new generations of students to embrace every opportunity to acquire new knowledge, and to apply that knowledge practically."

At today's ceremony, the rector's awards were presented to the students with the best average in all three study cycles. Rector's awards were given to: Eldin Hašić for success in the first cycle of studies and an average grade of 9.98, Lejla Zilić- Čurić for success in the second cycle of studies and an average grade of 10.00, and Lejla Hadžimahmutović for success in the third cycle of studies and an average grade 10.00.
