Invitation of the European Commission for the submission of project proposals within the ERASMUS+ program, in the field of education, training, youth and sports, for the year 2024

The European Commission has published the "Call for proposals for the Erasmus+ Program" for the year 2024 (EAC/A07/2023 Erasmus+ Programme).

We remind you that Erasmus+ is the European Union's program for education, training, youth and sports, and covers the period from 2021 to 2027.

The program is an essential element for the achievement of the goals of the European area of education, the Action Plan for digital education for the period 2021-2027, the strategy of the European Union for youth and the work plan of the European Union in the field of sports for the period 2021-2024.

The general goal of the Program is to support the educational, professional and personal development of people in the field of education, training, youth and sports in Europe and beyond through lifelong learning, which contributes to sustainable growth, quality of jobs, social cohesion, encouraging innovation, and strengthening European identity and active citizenship. . As such, the program is an important instrument for the construction of the European area of education and will encourage the implementation of European strategic cooperation in the field of education and training, along with basic sectoral programs.

In the field of International dimensions of the Erasmus+ program, in the field of education the following actions for international cooperation are open for the period 2021 – 2027:

• International Credit Mobility (ICM) –Student and staff mobility projects between member states of the European Union or associated third countries and non-associated third countries. A period of study or internship abroad must be part of the student's study program in order to obtain a degree. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as partner.
• Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Studies (EMJM) – High-quality international integrated master's programs with scholarships funded by the European Union to attract exceptional students. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Projects for the preparation of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degrees (EMDM) - Projects for designing and establishing joint master's programs. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Capacity building projects in the field of higher education (CBHE) – Support for the modernization and reform of higher education institutions and systems in countries around the world. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Jean Monnet Actions (JMA) –Excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies worldwide. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Capacity Building Projects in Vocational Education (CBVET) - Projects support the relevance, availability and response of institutions and systems of professional education and training. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as partner.

In the area of International Dimensions of the Erasmus+ program for the period 2021 – 2027, for the area young people, the following actions are open:

• Mobility for young people, youth workers – Projects that bring together young people from different countries for exchange and learning outside of their formal education system. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Capacity building projects in the field of youth (CBY) - Support for informal learning and mobility, and activities to increase the capacity of youth organizations in the partner countries included in the action. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as applicant/partner.
• Virtual exchanges in higher education and youth -Virtual exchange projects consist of people-to-people activities over the Internet that promote intercultural dialogue and the development of soft skills. They enable all young people to access high-quality international and intercultural (formal and informal) education without physical mobility. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the possibility to participate as partner.

In the area of International Dimensions of the Erasmus+ program for the period 2021 – 2027, for the area sports, the action is open Capacity building projects in the field of sports (CBS) which provides support to projects aimed at encouraging sports activities and politics as a means of promoting values and tools for the personal and social development of individuals and for community cohesion. Any public or private organization active in the field of sports can participate in the projects.
