ANOTHER MOBILITY REALIZED WITHIN THE CEEPUS NETWORK

Within the framework of the European CEEPUS network for the exchange of students and teaching staff, the vice-rector for scientific and research work of the University, Prof. Ph.D. Aleksandar Karač and vice dean for teaching of the Polytechnic Faculty Assoc. Ph.D. Edin Berberović stayed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding (FSB) in Zagreb. CEEPUS network CIII-RS-1012-01-1516 entitled "Building Knowledge and Experience Exchange in CFD" is intended to improve contacts and exchange experiences in the field of computational fluid mechanics (CFD).ceepus-160513-1 The short-term goal of this network is to establish a base of people engaged in this scientific field in a wide region, and in the long-term the network can be the initial step in establishing a computer cluster of South-Eastern Europe that would be accessible to all interested researchers and students.

The members of the network, by the way, consist of a total of 16 universities from 9 countries of the Danube region (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Serbia), of which 3 are from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including University of Zenica.

During the visit, Prof. Karač and Doc Berberović held several lectures ceepus-160513-3postgraduate students at FSB in advanced topics in the field of numerical simulations of multi-physical phenomena of continuum mechanics, and also consulted with doctoral students in this field and their mentors. In this way, the exchange of experiences and an additional contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between the two universities was achieved.
