REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE AT THE ANNUAL MEETING "THE FLORENCE NETWORK"

In the period from 24.04.-28.04.2023. the annual meeting of one of the largest networks of faculties in the field of nursing and health care "The Florence network" was held. This year's meetings are hosted by the San Rafael Faculty of Health Studies, Madrid, Spain. The Florence network is a network that brings together more than 40 higher education institutions from all over Europe and the UK that are engaged in education and research in the field of health care. On behalf of the Health Care study program of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica, the dean, Prof. Harun Hodžić, PhD, Vice-Dean for Scientific Research Mirza Oruč, PhD, and the student representative Amar Muslić, a third-year student of Health Care, attend this meeting.

The meeting was attended by more than 400 researchers from this field who presented a large number of papers in different sessions over the course of four days, and an extremely large number of workshops and bilateral meetings aimed at cooperation in the scientific research sense were held.

The importance of attending this meeting is also given by the fact that our student Amar Muslić was elected to the main board of the student section of this network, and that the vice-dean, Assoc. Ph.D. Mirza Oruč, after the vote of all participants, was elected to the "Research board" as a permanent member, which consists of representatives of the University of Verona. and Odisse University College Belgium.

Given that nursing and health care is an extremely important part of the health system, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica submitted an official request to host the meeting of this important network in 2026.

The results of the work within this network will certainly improve the activities at the faculty, but also provide students with new opportunities in the field of mobility and participation in international activities.
