The Student Union of the University of Zenica is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan organization that acts as an umbrella representative student organization of all students of the University of Zenica. The students' union works bilaterally, both at the University of Zenica, and independently to achieve and improve the student standard, build the student personality in general, and promote scientific, cultural-sports, multicultural, ethical, and other values of society.
The Student Union of the University of Zenica achieves its legitimacy and legality at the University of Zenica, and through its representatives in most academic bodies, as well as in the Board of Directors of the University of Zenica, fully participates in the decision-making and improvement of student status and standards, as well as the improvement of the University of Zenica, in general.
Student associations are smaller OJs within the Student Union, which are made up of year representatives elected directly by students. In this way, students have the opportunity to be full participants in the bodies of the University of Zenica, such as the Board of Directors, the Senate, the Scientific and Teaching Councils of OJ, the Ethics Commission, the Disciplinary Committees of OJ, the Quality Committee, etc.
Positive communication and long-term good cooperation with the Rectorate of the University of Zenica enables all students, through the University of Zenica Students' Union, to use the spatial capacities and technical resources of the University of Zenica unhindered, all with the aim of improving the quality of studies, activating students in scientific and social processes, as well as the independent development of the individual, through positive engagement in the local community.
Through its activities, the students' union has made many contacts and achieved many awards through cooperation with various entities such as: "KYODO", "Transparency International", "Gram - Concordia", OK "Zenica Zove", "Schuler Helfen Leben - SHL" and Fig. as well as with all student organizations and parliaments throughout BiH and the EU.
Also, the Union of Students was the "initial capsule" for the formation of other non-governmental associations such as OK "Zenica Zove" and "Studentski urbani magazin - sigma.ba".
Every year, for students of the University of Zenica, the faculties organize very informative and professional excursions with visits to well-known global companies, such as Audi in Ingolstadt, SIEMENS in Erlangen, NISSAN and SEAT in Barcelona, etc. As well as famous European universities.
The organizational structure of the Student Union is underway, which will also include the Student Sports Association, which already exists as an independent form at the University and which has shown enviable activity in its work so far. There are also various other proposed forms such as Center for Interdisciplinary Programs, Center for Student Entrepreneurship, Innovation Center, Center for Quality, Student Computer Center, etc.
