Student visit to the "Turbe" foundry in Turbet and the "Alloy Wheels" foundry in Jajce

On 02.06. In 2016, in the organization of the professors of the Department of Metallurgy of Non-Ferrous Metals and Casting of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials, third-year students of the Department of Metallurgy and fourth-year students of the Department of Metallurgy and the Department of Materials: Department of Metal Materials visited the foundry "Turbe" in Turbet and the foundry " Alloy Wheels" in Jajce. The visit was carried out as part of the curriculum of the course that students take in the field of casting production. In the aforementioned foundries, students had the opportunity to learn about the characteristic technological stages of melt production and production of iron and aluminum-based castings. During the tour, students had the opportunity to talk with employees who are directly related to production and connect theoretical knowledge with what they saw in practice. The students were accompanied by Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Ana Beroš - head of department K06, Prof. Ph.D. Hasan Avdušinović – vice dean for NIR of the Faculty and laboratory technician Amir Muslić, B.Sc.

Students and teachers express their gratitude to the employees of the mentioned companies for the warm welcome and good organization of the visit. They also thank the Mayor and the employees of the Municipality of Jajce, who organized lunch on behalf of the Mayor and hosted the students during their afternoon break.
