STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENIKA AT THE INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL "QUANTOGRAD" IN PENZA, RUSSIA
Thanks to the partnership between the University of Zenica and the State University of Penza from Russia, students of the University, Harisa Sejmen (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), Medina Suljić (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), Nejra Kolić (Faculty of Economics), Edmin Hrusto (Faculty of Medicine), Esnaf Durmić (Faculty of Medicine) and Eldar Ćerim (Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy) had the opportunity to participate in the summer school in Penza, Russia from 16 to 27 July 2019. years. The summer school had an international character with participants from different countries, such as Kazakhstan, Armenia, Lebanon, Belarus, Azerbaijan, China, etc. The theme of the summer school was the promotion of the Arctic and the goods it can offer humanity. The participants of our University, together with other team members and the coordinator, had the task of designing a recycling factory in the Arctic. As part of the summer school, students had the opportunity to attend lectures by eminent professors related to the topic of the summer school project. Students used this opportunity to socialize, get to know different nations and cultures, and present our University and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best light. A student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Harisa Sejmen, stated that the summer school in Russia was an invaluable experience: "We had a great time. We had a great reception from the host. We were pleasantly surprised by the enormous amount of respect, love and friendship. In addition to the fact that we do not speak the same language, we had no problems establishing communication and friendship which, we hope, will continue in the future."
We take this opportunity to thank the partner University of Penza, which provided plane tickets and expenses for the stay in Russia for the students of the University of Zenica.
