THE FIRST WORKSHOP FOR THE CREATION OF THE CANTONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION PLAN (KEAP) OF THE ZENIČKO-DOBOJ CANTON WAS HELD

On Thursday, March 31, 2016, the "Kemal Kapetanović" Metallurgical Institute of the University of Zenica held the 1st workshop for the preparation of the Cantonal Environmental Action Plan (KEAP) of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which was attended by ministers from the ZDK Government: Mr. Zvonimir Anđelić (Ministry of Economy), Mr. Fahrudin Brkić (Ministry of Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection) and Mr. Mensur Sinanović (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports).
The workshop was opened by Minister Brkić, and then Assoc. Ph.D. Raif Seferović, director of the Metallurgical Institute, who emphasized that the Institute is the project holder for the creation of KEAP ZDK.

The aim of the workshop was to bring together the members of the Advisory and Coordination Board and the heads and members of the work teams (a total of eleven teams were formed), as well as all other interested parties, for the purpose of presenting the methodology for the development of the KEAP. The methodology was presented by the project leader prof. Ph.D. Šefket Goletić, head of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the University of Zenica.

Given that this is a key document in the field of environmental protection, which will define the state and directions of action in the coming multi-year period, ways of including the public in the process of creating this document were also presented at the workshop.

In the following period, three more workshops are planned, namely: 2nd workshop with the aim of presenting and harmonizing the list of environmental problems; 3. with the aim of presenting and harmonizing the action plan of measures and activities and 4. when the proposal of the integral document of KEAP ZDK will be presented.
