The fourth day of the summer school "Healthy Aging Challenges in BIH"

We started today with a presentation by assistant professor Belma Šljivo MA, on the topic of students' mental health and the problems they most often face.

Then we continued with the workshop on "Healthy Aging and self-management" presented by HA Geertje (Netherlands, Groningen).

The students then had the opportunity to simultaneously attend two workshops led by our experienced Emina Kavaz Smriko and Majda Ibrahimagić-Sarajlić, experienced occupational therapists, showing the techniques of occupational therapy in practice, and psychologist and psychotherapist Nermina Vehabović Rudež, who conducted the Self improvement workshop with the students. .

The real "hit" was the workshop on the use of VR (Virtual reality) in different modes, training or learning, which was led by assistant professor Mirza Oruč, PhD, in cooperation with colleagues from FabLab Sarajevo, whose representative was Mehmed Čobo.

The presentation of Helathy Aging in Belgium was presented by Dr. Tim Torsy from Belgium.

In the rest of the day, colleagues Emina Kavaz Smriko and Majda Ibrahimagić-Sarajlić continued with presentations of techniques in occupational therapy, while students of the 6th year of General Medicine, as representatives of Bohemsa and the Incision section in Zenica, prepared an active surgical suturing workshop for all those interested.

This is another great day for us…….. Participants took with them new knowledge, information, learned new skills and most importantly enjoyed everything.
