The mechanical laboratory of the "Kemal Kapetanović" Institute in Zenica in the fifth cycle of accreditation - the first supervisory evaluation by the Institute for Accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was carried out
On June 22, 2020. Mechanical laboratory of the "Kemal Kapetanović" Institute in Zenica confirmed the LK-02-01 accreditation for the field of calibration of devices for measuring force, moment of force and hardness according to the new edition of the standard BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2018.
During the preparation for accreditation, the Mechanical Laboratory analyzed the requirements and needs of the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was based on the acquisition of new equipment and parts of equipment in order to meet the requirements of new methods in the field of calibration of devices for measuring force and hardness, and especially from the aspect of calibrating presses for testing concrete samples. Given that the requirements for press calibration are complex and varied, the Mechanical Laboratory completed the existing equipment and maintained its primacy in this area, i.e. it remained the only accredited laboratory in Bosnia and Herzegovina for this area. In this regard, a new HBM quantum signal amplifier with associated connectors and a UTM 10 measuring cell was acquired, as well as a new HBM force cell with four channels necessary for checking the pressure plates at the press for testing concrete samples.
During the preparation for the supervisory assessment, risks were defined, their assessment was carried out and activities were undertaken to minimize them (new requirement of the BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard), and opportunities were identified, their assessment was carried out and appropriate measures were taken.
