09.06.2021. CIP AND MF UNZE: PRACTICAL TEACHING FOR STUDENTS AT KRISTAL AND PALAVRA VENEER COMPANIES
Practical classes for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Department of General Mechanical Engineering (OM) and Design and Technologies in Woodworking (DTD) were held at the KRISTAL Vitez and PALAVRA veneer factories in Bila. Kristal was hosted by Kristijan Žepačkić and his colleagues, and Ana Palavra, director of Palavra veneers, was the host for the students on the courses Production systems and logistics, CNC technologies and entrepreneurship. At Kristal, the students had the opportunity to get to know in detail the modern way of planning production, advanced systems of storage and retrieval of materials for the start of production, work on CNC machines, thermal processing of glass and the department for artistic glass processing. Although glass processing technologies are not widely known to the students, their interest in the operation of CNC machines and especially programming exceeded expectations, so the class lasted even longer than the planned time. On the spot, they could make sure that KRISTAL is growing into a regional leader in this technology, which has available all flat glass processing technologies (cutting, drilling, milling, grinding, thermal treatment, graphic design on glass, etc.), processing by pressing, casting and others The road continued to Bila, where the students had the opportunity to get acquainted with an also uncommon technology: the production of veneers by peeling and spiral scraping. This was especially interesting for the students of the DTD department who could only read about this technology in adequate literature. The director of CIP UNZE and subject teacher Prof. Dr. Darko Petković and Mr. Emir Đulić were with the students throughout the practical classes.
