13.03.2019. CIP, PTF AND MF UNZE: VISIT TO TAMEX BUS COMPANY

A visit to the Tamex business system in Busovača was organized as part of classes in the Department of Industrial Engineering and CIM Technology for students of the II, III and IV years of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (MF) and the Faculty of Polytechnic (PtF). After the welcoming address of the management representative of the Tamex company, a visit to the production facilities was arranged - starting from the sawmill and primary processing, through the drying plant to the finishing lines. Students had the opportunity to see the modern concept of setting up a business process with the maximum level of automation of work in every part of the process, the dominant participation of CNC machines in machining plants by cutting, modern lines for finishing and painting, and the packaging department, which fully uses IT technologies to prepare parts for distribution network and sales. After a complete overview of how to get from an idea to a finished product, the students were given a visit to the company's showroom, where they could ask questions to the management and responsible executors in the plants. The company Tamex represents one of the examples of the best organization of the production process in wood processing systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzQ-tkW4NxA) which exports almost its entire production to the EU market and beyond. With the maximum commitment of employees and management, a system was created that demonstrates in the best way that production processes can be organized according to Western standards in BIH as well.
