13.03.2019. CIP, PTF AND MF UNZE: VISIT TO THE INTERIO FAIR IN SARAJEVO

In the afternoon of March 13, 2019, a visit to the Furniture and Wood Products Fair INTERIO in Sarajevo and the "Sarajevo Wood Days" conference was organized for students of the II, III and IV years of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (MF) and the Faculty of Polytechnic (PtF). The organizers of the conference were the Foreign Trade Chamber FBIH and Cluster "Furniture-Drvo" from Sarajevo, and the conference was opened by H.E. High Representative in BiH Valentin Incko. Within the conference, several thematic lectures and panel discussions were held, in which the discussion of the Minister of Education in the Government of ZDK Mensur Sinanović and the director of the Secondary School "Zija Dizdarević" from Fojnica on the topic How to achieve a dual or cooperative study model - Better connection of the academic sector and companies should be highlighted. In the second panel, which had as its topic How design transforms companies - How to conquer the world market and furniture distribution channels, the presentations of the representatives of the companies Tisa, Izazov, Artisan and Drvnogi cluster Hercegovina were particularly notable. The third panel was dedicated to the presentations of equipment and machine manufacturers, fairs and distributors. The conference was moderated by Dinko Mujkić on behalf of the Furniture and Wood Cluster, and on behalf of VTK FBIH Mr. Šemsa Alimanović. For UNZE students, this was an opportunity to hear a lot about the current situation of BH companies in this sector, what employers expect from future employees, what are the prospects for the further development of this sector and other interesting topics. After the end of the conference, the students had the opportunity to visit the fair stands and see the exhibited exhibits. Along with the UNZE students, there were also several students from TŠC Bilmišće with their professor M.Sc. Damir Hodžić, as a reward to the students for their activity at the seminars of the GIZ ProLocal DTD project.
