Dr. Darko Petković he visited the companies Thermoflux in Jajce and Livnica Pobjeda ad in Turbet. Sanel Bićo, who presented the present moment of this respectable company, cooperation with educational institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the planned dynamics of the company's expansion in the coming years. In this regard, they specifically discussed the necessary personnel resources that this company must provide in order to achieve the planned development, and emphasized the importance of adequate education for high school students with a technical orientation (mainly welders), as well as engineers and economists who are well versed in the methods of modern marketing, design technological processes, IC technologies, management of production systems, chemical technologies, etc. During a tour of the plant, Ing Bićo presented the complete production process and showed the new halls under construction and their future purpose. By the way, Thermoflux is one of the leading companies in the region for the production of modern furnaces (boilers, related equipment, etc.) for heating from domestic buildings to large shopping centers, hotels, hospitals and business buildings and employs almost 250 people. Most of the production of modern designed products is exported to the EU (Germany, Austria, Denmark, etc.). This visit was followed by a visit to the Pobjeda Foundry in Turbet, where pump housings are cast for the automotive program in EU countries (VW, Mercedes, BMW, etc.). In this company as well, there is an evident problem of personnel, both in the engineering profession and those who come from secondary education. The host in Livnica was B.Sc. Emir Jašarević, executive director of the Foundry. In both companies, Prof. Petković presented the DUALSCI project, its work packages, project participants as well as project expectations. He called on companies to be actively involved in the development of the dual study model in Bosnia and Herzegovina through more active cooperation with the academic sector, willingness to be partners in the future dual study model, as well as collaborators in the creation of legislation that should be designed in this project.
