21.02.2019. MF and CIP UNZE: LECTURE FOR STUDENTS OF TS BILMIŠĆE IN ZENICA
The Zenica Technical School was founded in 1949 and successfully educates students for various professional titles in technical fields, preparing them for work in the economy and continuing their education at colleges. As part of the dissemination activities on the projects STINT-"Strengthening internationalization in higher education of BiH (Strengthening of Internationalization in B&H Higher Education / STINT)" as part of the Erasmus+ program as well as the project Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia (giz-dtd_EU pro-local), the head of the UNZE project team Prof. Dr. Darko Petković in cooperation with M.Sc. Damir Hodžić, professor of TS Bilmišće, held a lecture for graduates of the Technical School in Zenica with the topic: Bologna Process, Internationalization and our role in this process. The basic determinants of the Bologna process and the importance of internationalization of universities as an important element of the work of higher education are presented. There was also talk about the model of dual (cooperative) education (an important element at the University of Applied Sciences) and efforts to establish such a model in the academic sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this sense, a new study of Design and Technology in Wood Processing (DTD) was presented, which will be realized as a model of COOPERATIVE study. It has been shown how foreign experiences can be used in the development of modern study programs at our universities.

Prof. Petković also presented two new laboratories that are being developed at the Ministry of Finance: IT design Lab and FabLab-laboratory, which will be used for manual-machine development of wood products. The graduates were particularly interested in what ECTS points are and how they are calculated, how mobility is achieved, what is the difference between a university and a college, whether it is possible to continue studying in the EU from a BH university, how our students can enroll in foreign universities, what changed the Bologna process in relation to the study system before the Bologna Declaration and others. For particularly interested students, Prof. Petković announced an invitation to one of the seminars organized by the MF UNZE and visits to the laboratories of the MF UNZE.
